How do I get a window off my second monitor?

Press Alt + Tab to select the missing window. Press Alt + Space + M to change the mouse cursor to the move cursor. Use the left, right, up or down keys on your keyboard to bring the window back into view. Press Enter or click the mouse to let the window go once recovered.

Why is everything opening on my second monitor?

Open Settings > System > Display > select Second Display > uncheck Remeber window locations based on monitor connection > then click Extend these displays > select Show only on 1. Then disconnect and reconnect the cable of the secondary display. After that, check if apps will still open on the secondary monitor.
