Add an expiration date to all messages you send

1. Select File > Options.
2. Select Mail in the left pane.
3. Scroll down to Send messages.
4. Check the box Mark messages as expired after this many days and enter a number of days between 1 and 99.
5. Click OK.

On a computer, go to Gmail and click on Compose. In the bottom right corner of the window, you need to click on the “Turn on confidential mode.” Step 2: Now, you can set an expiration date to 1 day or 1 week or 1 month. There are other options as well.
